Pressure ulcer (PU), also known as decubitus ulcer and pressure ulcer, is a type of skin and/or tissue injury confined to the body surface, which causes skin damage, ulceration, and even necrosis due to insufficient blood supply as a result of prolonged pressure on the tissues. We have established a stable model of pressure ulcers induced by external pressure on the skin, which is suitable for the study of drugs for preclinical pressure ulcers and the evaluation of new drugs.
