Disease Models

Comprehensive preclinical pharmacology and pharmacodynamics evaluation bench & full range of animal models

As a specialized preclinical oncology CRO, KCI Biotech provides comprehensive in vivo pharmacology evaluation systems to support the research and development of novel anti-cancer therapeutics. To address diverse mechanism-of-action studies, the platform has established and validated multiple categories of tumor models covering common cancer types:

CDX and PDX models: Utilizing a broad library of well-characterized human tumor models and murine cell lines for consistent subcutaneous efficacy screening and targeted evaluations.

Orthotopic tumor models: Designed to accurately replicate organ-specific microenvironments, featuring validated syngeneic orthotopic mouse model systems and specialized large animal models, such as the VX2 rabbit liver cancer model.

Metastatic tumor models: Tracking tumor evolution and simulating clinical metastasis across specific target sites, including brain, liver, and bone metastases.

Integrated Analytical Platforms: Tumor progression and drug efficacy are quantified using advanced technological infrastructure, including in vivo bioluminescence imaging, 1.5T MRI, 16-layer CT, and multi-color flow cytometry.
